Brilliance

Overview

The programme aimed to test different types of outdoor performance work during winter, using the councils existing ‘Brilliance’ sound and light installation, situated in the town centre as the heart of all performances.

The programme ran throughout the entire month of October bringing different companies to town each week with everything from live music to parading drummers, dancing cyclists to secret opera singers and everything in between. Brilliance gave us an excellent opportunity to test and trial lots of different ideas, as well as the chance to gather as much feedback as possible from local businesses and residents. All of our learning on this project later informed the decisions we made when creating the Award Winning LightPool Festival.
